What's in a name?

I'm starting up a collection of my favourite names and surnames, an ideal collection for anyone really because they're one of the things in this world that you don't have to pay for. I have no names for 'Q' or 'U' and for some reason most of the names I've collected so far start with 'A':

Lithops / Living stones are high on my plant list especially since Melbourne (and most of Australia) are on water restrictions. A native of South Africa these plants need little to no water to survive especially during the summer months. They also make fascinating little house plants to boot.

Food, fun, sun...turday!

It's Saturday, so many places to go, so many things to eat! Days like these are perfect for a bit of Orchid/Succulent hunting. ;}

I will quickly post pictures of a project from last year. Digitally printed satin with my own design. The material was sewn into a sort of stole/long scarf shape. If digital printing for material was cheaper I'd do it more often... probably every day!

The house has gotten bright now that it's Spring, well on and off Spring anyhow due to the yo-yoing Melbourne weather.

Last weekend I bought this Moon/Moth Orchid to pretty up my desk. Only problem is I counted 13 15 buds, but I just couldn't resist and I doubt i'll be able to stop fawning over my new buddy.

Edit: Good lord, when I bought this orchid on the weekend it had 13 buds. Now I've recounted (and you can see in the picture) that 13 has turned into 15! More to love baby, more to love!
