I'm not sure if Linssen illustrated these but they are beautiful nonetheless. :}

did you ever see that show on tv where they showed an artist who made paintings of bugs? she'd focus on each part with a microscope to get this extreme amount of detail & in the end the whole drawing of the beetle was all in focus. she said it's one thing cameras couldnt do yet. i thought that was cool:)

lilly - wow, no. but that sounds really interesting, when i was little i used to have a dodgy plastic microscope. i was obsessed with looking at onion peel skins!
